For the second time, the Ante Up Poker Tour will visit Reno's Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The series will run from August 15-25 and offer $350,000 in guaranteed prize pools over 19 events.
The highlight will be the $1,100 buy-in $200K GTD Main Event, which will feature two starting flights. The winner of Main Event appears on cover of October 2019 issue of Ante Up Magazine and gets a seat in the 2020 Ante Up World Championship Main Event and a personalized Tour Champion jacket.

'Tournament Director Andy Patton and I like our series to have balance: different buy-in levels for different bankrolls, some fun twists on no-limit hold'em tournaments, a few non-no-limit-hold'em tournaments and plenty of satellites to swell the fields where we have big guarantees.' said Keith Dames, poker room manager at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nev. 'Our players love bounties, so we have different buy-in bounty events where the bounty represents a different percentage of the prize pool. Events like the Black Chip Bounty have strategy considerations that differ from a standard freeze-out.'
The Peppermill is the best. Free water, coffee, soft drinks, soup, donuts. They got a nice Tournament room. The place is just nice, and I wish I lived a little closer to Reno. From Boise, Reno is 6.5hrs one way and Vegas is only a 3 hr longer drive. The Atlantis room is small but nice.

- When Tahoe casinos open soon, Harvey's will remain closed for awhile. When Harvey's does reopen, it is questionable if and when the poker room would reopen. Sadly, this could mean the end of poker in Tahoe. Reno's major poker rooms will probably survive (Peppermill & Atlantis, and Silver Legacy because it is downtown).
